Before buying those ballet flats for work or even for a casual look, there are some crucial tips that I want to share with you.
Sometimes finding the right shoes could be challenging, especially if you want to invest in shoes of good quality and nice materials to stand the test of time and the bad news is that you can still suffer from foot pain and feel uncomfortable in those luxurious high-end shoes if you don’t know what is the best for your own feet, so there are some tips and some foot characteristics that you need to be mindful of in your next shoe shopping to help you understand your feet shape and figure out what is the best choice for you.
1- YOUR FOOT SHAPE
There is a theory that there are five or seven major foot shapes based on your toe shape which reveals your ancestry or your heritage.
We don’t want to analyze or support this idea here because scientifically there are some doubts about it but thanks to these categories, we can know our foot shape better. Here, we summarize them in three major and common foot shapes:

Greek Foot or Flame Foot
In this type of foot, the second toe is longer than the rest and the best shoes for this very common foot shape are very stylish “Almond toe shape” shoes and “Pointed toe shape” shoes which help you elongate your legs at the same time.
Egyptian Foot
This foot shape has toes nicely tapering at 45 degrees which makes more rounded toe shape shoes like “Round toe shape” shoes, “Oblique toe shape” shoes, or even “Square-toe shape” shoes perfect suggestions.
Roman Foot
In this very particular foot shape, the first three toes have kind of the same height and anything other than pointed-toe shoes are suitable for this foot shape and bring you comfort while you are walking in them.
2- Foot Width
Nothing is worse than walking in your expensive shoes which are too tight or too loose for you. Well, sometimes people think that if the size is right then the shoes will be fine and fit but the shoe size is measured based on the length of your foot without considering the width. Hopefully, some brands provide you with different size charts explaining the width measurement and the length size but there is a very simple tip for your next shoe shopping without being lost in numbers and calculations:
If your feet have low width meaning you have narrow feet just make sure to go for more slim shape shoes and narrow shoes.

3- Foot Arch
On our way up to the ankles, a very important part to take care of is our arch. Our feet are pieces of art because they have arches.
We have four types of arches in this category:

If you have a flat arch, it means you need shoes to make you more stable on the ground, however; you need mobilization for your rigid high arch foot. You will be surprised if you know that you need to avoid the same footwear for both of these very different arch types, which are Flip Flop and Sandals: these two very popular summer shoes are your foot killers and bring you extreme pain especially if you consider them for a long walk because their backless silhouettes give your flat arch no support and on the other hand they fail to absorb the shock, so they put so much stress on your footballs and so much pressure on your very high arch.
The good news is our very best friend “Loafer” is here to save us. These shoes support all over the arch by perfectly covering the foot with their practical yet classy silhouette making them our lovely elegant timeless everyday shoes.
You may wonder what leads me to write this post down for you? A very sad “Love Story”!
